With patient recruitment becoming an increasingly urgent topic, BBK Worldwide experts foresee the continuation of four important trends that are making the patient recruitment and enrollment process more efficient. ClinPage.com featured these predictions by BBK's Jaime Cohen and Linda Wolf in an "Expert View" feature in March.
One trend is the concentration of recruitment expertise with the documentation of proven, professional recruitment practices and their institutionalization at the sponsor level. Additionally, country selection for global studies will continue to involve a more strategic approach that includes multiple variables and integrates business objectives with recruitment objectives. The next two trends involve the growth of patient recruitment technology for integrating enrollment data and for microtargeting sites and patients.
