The Power of the Patient Recruitment Management System Featured in June's EPC Magazine
June 2008 // European Pharmaceutical Contractor (EPC)
Recruiting and enrolling a clinical trial involves a whole host of steps ranging from country selection to enrollment projections, to study feasibility and site selection. The task is made simpler and more effective when stakeholders have ready access to key data points and to patient-recruitment focused algorithms to put those data to use. In the current environment, many of those key data points reside in the disparate systems that surround study community members – however they are inaccessible and unusable without a system to centralize and synthesize the information in a patient recruitment context.
The June issue of European Pharmaceutical Contractor (EPC) features the article, "Centralisation" by BBK's Jaime Cohen, describing how data can be collected from multiple sources to create a web-based technology that centralizes a range of patient recruitment information and turns it into actionable data for the clinical trial community. The article describes the power of organizing data in a "patient recruitment management system" (PRMS) and making them available in real-time to accelerate clinical development timelines.
