eCliniqua Features TCN e-Systems' Patient Recruitment Management System

August 2007 // eCliniqua

eCliniqua's August 20, 2007 electronic newsletter recognizes TCN as one of the companies that made a significant announcement at the recent Drug Information Association (DIA) Annual Meeting in June in Atlanta. The announcement was regarding introduced technologies to streamline clinical trials operations called patient recruitment management system (PRMS).

TCN e-Systems is the first company dedicated to providing life science companies, CROs, SMOs, medical research organizations, and others in the clinical R&D industry with Web-based technologies specifically designed to enhance their ability to enroll clinical trials. The company is moving patient recruitment technology off the back burner and positioning it front-and-center. The PRMS is a Web-based system of integrated modules that was created by TCN e-Systems to provide stakeholders with real-time access to actionable data needed to accelerate patient recruitment and enrollment. It generates information on a host of measurable recruitment activities and tracks data via six product suites, each in different stages of upgrading and market readiness.

The PRMS can operate stand-alone or, because it is XML-based, allows for integration with clinical trial management systems, clinical data management systems, and interactive voice response systems. In fact, much of the opportunity for TCN e-Systems stems from this integration ability and the extensive functionality of the product. The eCliniqua's author concludes her article by quoting Joan F. Bachenheimer, TCN e-Systems founder, who says "We have a number of proposals out with providers interested in having us private-label our product as part of their system. We also have a proposal with a small [clinical research organization] interested in our PRMS as part of their underpinning. PRMS should really stand for 'patient recruitment made simple.' "
